MGCC South East MG100SE Brooklands Show
The third part of the MG100SE weekend’s celebration of MG takes place at The Birthplace of British Motorsport – Brooklands.
The Museum will be our host for a full day of MG Magic and will include competition cars, decades timeline, live music, traders, MG talks, pride of ownership, concours & clubs among all the usual Museum exhibits.
MG has a strong association with Brooklands, being the home of pre WW2 motor racing and the MG “Safety Fast” sign once stretched the length of the Racing Garages. Brooklands was often talked of as the second home of MG after Abingdon. Famous drivers took MGs out on track including Goldie Garnder, George Eyston, Doreen Evans, Reg Parnell and more. You will have an opportunity to follow in their footsteps as you walk around this hallowed ground.
To mark MG’s racing heritage here at Brooklands there will be a special competition car display featuring many cars that actually raced on the circuit and those who followed on other tracks since and you will get a chance to take your own MG up the famous Test Hill.
Further details of the day will follow in due course so keep checking back. This will be the third part of the weekend package but can be enjoyed separately if you wish.
