For MG100SE we will feature the Centenary Five road runs from around the South East Region on the morning of Saturday 18th May. There is bound to be one starting near you.
The road runs will be the first part of a full celebratory weekend.
The Celebratory Five Road Runs will begin in the following locations:-
- Run 1 – The Bush Inn, Ovington, New Alresford, Hants SO24 0RE
- Run 2 – The Red Lion, Ashington, West Sussex RH20 3DD
- Run 3 – Spadeworks Garden Centre, Offham, Maidstone, Kent ME19 5NA (including MG100 Cavalcade)
- Run 4 – The Owl, Kingsfold, Horsham, Sussex RH12 3SA
- Run 5 – The Kentish Horse, Mark Beech, Edenbridge, Kent TN8 5NT
You will need a “Road Run” ticket to take part in any of the runs which will also give you entry to The Fairmile Lawn at the finish in Cobham, Surrey. If you wish to enjoy the hot & cold buffet at the finish a separate ticket will be required.
Road Run – £15 per car
Fairmile Buffet – £18 per person
(plus booking fees)
Your Road run booking will include a rally plate, email route plan, tea or coffee at the start and entry to the Fairmile Lawns. Most of the start points will also have additional breakfast items to purchase separately if you wish.
The Road Runs on Saturday morning at MG100SE will converge on The Fairmile in Cobham, Surrey. We expect the cars from the runs to arrive by mid-afternoon but you can arrive earlier or later if you wish. The Fairmile event is open to all MGs whether you have been on the road run or not.
The afternoon/evening event will take place on the large lawns in front of The Fairmile and the pub will be open for drinks. A hot & cold buffet will be available from around 5pm and there will be marquees on the lawn should there be inclement weather.
You can expect at the Fairmile Lawns:
MG Displays – Special MGs will be displayed on the lawns
MG Road Runs – these will converge on the Fairmile Lawns bringing many more MGs to the event.
MG Cavalcade/ Relay – the Round Britian MG Cavalcade will be arriving on the lawns on a stop as it travels the country.
Hot & Cold Buffet – The Fairmile will be providing food and drink from around 5pm (Buffet ticket required)
Magic Marco – Magician Magic Marco will be passing amongst you with magical illusions
Jake Fryer Jazz Duo – Musical entertainment will be provided by a local Jazz Duo
Welcome – MGCC President John Day and vice-president Ian Qaurrington will talk about the history of MG and the clubs in the marquee
This event can be enjoyed on its own or as part of the two-day package.
