Autumn Naviscat: Sunday 4th October 2020
Well, after the gentle and somewhat confusing easing of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, we are starting to utilise our MG’s more and attend events again, alibi under some new and different restrictions to keep us all safe.
Following the excellent Table Top Rallies (July and September) and the Autumn Run on the 13th September, the next SE event will be the Autumn Navicast on the 4th October which will take place around the beautiful Surrey Hills which are serviced relatively well from main roads including J9 of the M25, the A24 & A29 running south from Dorking and the M3 and A3.
Naviscat’s are a great step up from the well-known Treasure Hunts. They require the knowledge of how to plot a 6-figure map reference, using a romer or similar to locate locations on the map to answer the clues. You will need to bring a copy of the 1:50000 series Ordnance Survey map, Landranger number 187 – DORKING & REIGATE, Crawley & Horsham.
